IRS Enrolled Agent (2014 - present)

Internship:

Prepared tax returns for CPA firm in Tyler including individual tax returns, including schedule C, E, and some trusts.

Volunteer Tax Counselor:

Worked as tax preparer, quality reviewer in local VITA (2012 -2016)

Worked at Counselor in the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program (2014 - 2016)

In 2015 and 2016, I prepared about 200 returns and reviewed another 200-300 returns for quality.

Research and Writing:

Researched tax issues as needed, including education credits. Wrote multiple articles on Education Credits, and the book Education Tax Credits: And Other Educational Incentives.

Software:

Knowledgeable in Lacerte and TaxWise.

Also prepared volunteer tax reference resource for TaxWise.

Familiar with other tax preparation software.
